Original vintage chapman bayonetmodel 1907manufactured in november 1917 and made in great britain! Though these are some fo my first auctions on ebay, i have 100% feedback and quite a few years actual buying and selling experience. Any questions are welcomed. If you have any, please ask thme before you bid. The date of manufacture/acceptance of this 1907 british model bayonet (11 17) is november 1917, which means king george v was reigning at that time. The marking on the pommel indicates australian use at some point, but not manufacture. For this particular ietm i have taken many photos for you to view. The release button on hte end of the handle works perfectly. The blade edge is in excellent (i would say incredible considering it's age) shape, with only a few very small, light nicks.The wood on the handle is in great shape and the rivets are as tight as hte day it was made. On the very end of the pommel, as seen in the last photo (which unfortunately exaggerates the marks quite a bit), there are some kind of wear marks. They are not that deep at all. The photo makes it look much worse than it actually is. Overall, the ipctures do not do this piece justice. Hard to believe this magnificent piece is enaring 91 years old. The bayonet itself measures 21 3/4 from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle. The bayonet balde is a shade under 17. Shipping/handling (which include my costs as well) in the usa is $10.75which includes delivery confirmation and is required for this auction. International/foreign usually several dollars more. This happened during the photo process, sometimes creating an odd effect. Of course it doesn't look like that in person. Payment by paypal expectde within 3 days. Payment by money order expected within 7 days.
